Editorial policy
This policy covers the guides, blog posts, comparisons and migration guides on sendtier.com. We write them from primary sources and take statements about Sendtier only from a checked list of facts. Each page is checked before it goes live.
Sources
We write from primary sources: standards such as RFCs, and the documentation, help pages, pricing pages and terms that each provider publishes about itself. Before writing, we fetch each source and record the date we read it. Review sites, listicles and search snippets are not sources. Each source is linked next to the sentence it supports, and a quote uses only words that appear on the cited page.
Statements about Sendtier
Statements about Sendtier come from an internal list of facts. Each fact on the list cites its proof, such as a line of code, the API specification, a test or a recorded decision. A page leaves out any statement about Sendtier that the list does not cover. Some facts are true today but may change later, so pages state them with "today" or "during the public preview". Each month, we re-check facts whose proof has changed. We queue a fix for any guide, blog post, comparison or migration guide that no longer matches.
Checks before publishing
Before a page is published, and before a change to a published page goes live, a separate check compares each claim with its source. It checks each quote against the cited page and each statement about Sendtier against the fact list.
A page that does not pass is revised and checked again. The site's publication checks must also pass before a page goes live.
Comparisons
Each comparison lists the provider pages it relies on and shows the date they were checked. Prices appear as the provider publishes them on that date, with the currency, the period and the volume. Every comparison keeps a section on where the other provider is the better choice, with each point where that provider is better. Comparisons show no ratings, review scores, or delivery or availability percentages, for any provider.
Dates and updates
Each guide, comparison and blog post shows its published date. An updated date appears only after a real change to the content; we never change a date to make a page look new. A guide or blog post can end with a line that gives the date its sources were checked. Today, not every published guide or blog post has that line. Each month, we fetch the sources of comparisons and guides again. We check each statement about the other provider on a comparison, and each quote in a guide. A comparison's checked date moves forward only when every provider statement on it was verified that day.
Corrections
If you find an error, write to hello@sendtier.com with the page address and, if you can, the source that shows the error. A fix to a published page passes the same checks as a new page, and fixes come before new pages in our writing queue.
Links and money
Sendtier does not buy, sell or exchange links. No guide, blog post, comparison or migration guide carries a paid, sponsored or affiliate link.
Authorship
